The Guru Ka Dasvandh Seva Society proudly organized its first Gurmat Class in the serene village of 21 GB, bringing the message of Sikh principles and teachings to life. This initiative marked a significant milestone in our journey to instill faith, values, and the essence of Gurbani in the younger generation, a vision deeply rooted in the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Embracing the Light of Sikhi in Village 21 GB
Nestled amidst vast fields, Village 21 GB resonated with the sound of “Waheguru,” as children and adults gathered for the first Gurmat class. The event began with Ardas (prayer) to invoke divine blessings, setting a humble and serene tone. The warmth and enthusiasm of the participants highlighted the community’s eagerness to reconnect with their spiritual heritage.

The class was led by a dedicated Granthi Singh, empowered through our initiative to take on the role of an educator. He introduced the participants to the fundamentals of Sikhism, explaining the meaning behind daily Nitnem and the significance of the Khalsa Panth. Through storytelling and kirtan, the Sangat experienced the depth and beauty of Gurbani.
This class reminded me of my childhood when Sikh teachings were part of everyday life. It’s a blessing to see this tradition revived.
– Ravinder Singh ( Parent )
The Gurmat class reinforced key Sikh principles such as Naam Japna (Meditation), Kirat Karni (Honest Living), and Vand Ke Chakna (Sharing with Others). These teachings were not just conveyed as theoretical lessons but were brought to life through interactive discussions, inspiring participants to integrate them into their daily lives. The session concluded with langar, fostering the spirit of equality and unity.
As we continue our mission, we call upon all supporters to join hands in spreading the light of Sikhi. Initiatives like the Gurmat class are vital in keeping our traditions alive and empowering the youth to live by the timeless values of our Gurus.
